Once the articles are received, editors and reviewers are free to suggest partial modifications of their content without affecting the meaning of the author's arguments. After the acceptance of the articles to be published, Revista Investigaciones Geográficas is free to reproduce the contents for dissemination purposes, duly notifying the authors. The authors of each article will keep the intellectual property and the rights recognized by law.

The submission and peer review process of manuscripts for Revista Investigaciones Geográficas should be under the following conditions:

• Authors retain the copyright and give to the journal the right of first publication under Creative Commons Attribution License, which allow other people use this information, and always referring to the author/s.

This work is under a Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivative 4.0 International.

• Authors are free to make other contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the manuscript published in this journal (such as inclusion in an institutional collection or publish it in a book), and always providing the original source.

• The authors release the Department of Geography at the University of Chile from any liability for any legal, contractual or regulatory responsibility, which eventually commits or has committed in relation to the publication. The authors should repair to the University any damage resulting from the infringement of the rights mentioned above. This journal allows and encourages authors to publish their work online (e.g. institutional or personal pages) as "working paper" or "preprint" format, previously and during the review process and publication. This may help to achieve positive exchanges and greater dissemination of the published work.
