Abstract
This research analyzes the impact of public policies on the economic growth of Pacific Alliance (PA) countries, evaluating the effectiveness of governance and institutions in regional development. Using an econometric panel data model, it examines the relationship between six World Bank governance indicators and GDP growth in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru from 2002 to 2022. The variables include voice and accountability, political stability, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law, and control of corruption. The results show that voice and accountability, regulatory quality, rule of law, and control of corruption significantly impact economic growth, with variations across countries. These findings have implications for policy design in the context of PA economic integration.
