Abstract

This paper presents a journey for a set of photographs, videos and audio records, passing through the neighborhoods of Santiago, by the marches, emblematic institutions and some chilean photographer’s studios . The registration of these records, somehow fed to present information about the past becoming memory files. Gathered in the Pedro Lemebel’s exhibition ARDER , these records relate to the events of the recent past that have damaged the collective memory, an unresolved damage on which bears emphasizing. So these visual, audiovisual and sound works, considered as files, open space to experience the past from other senses and reactivates the experience of the energy of social transformation during the dictatorship, boosted by the struggle for human rights.
