Development includes four main parts. In The first —”Regime cynical historical events: two diachronic moments of its emergency”— will mark two ways of understanding the concept of cynicism in the history of Western thought —ancient greek, which blunts the figure of Diogenes of Sinope, and contemporary, as the study has identified-Sloterdijk—, pretending as if a part both arise from a cultural discomfort before exhaustion of the superstructural categorical and endorsement transcendent. moreover, the con- temporary notion assumes that a versatility that is beyond its meaning old search for happiness a simple life that is subtracted to the social conventions, ranging between its consideration as fallacious attitude, nihilistic, exalting, melancholic, frontal harmeless and irony. The second part —”Language as a metaphor and field of experimentation”— refers the question before the relationship between language and meaning production. critically examining the Rorty’s liberal conception —who postulated the existence of ‘lexical’ that allow creation of historically varying worldviews, truth referring to linguistic propositions (not things in-itself), a recognition of the contingency of beliefs would incarnate in the person of liberal ironist (ideally poet whose language creator)—, is to see the degree of disappointment and melancholy that hides. In the third part —”Armistice and confluence of the three elements”— raises the confluence of the ‘liberal ironist’ that Rorty poses with the contemporary ‘cynical’ that identifies Sloterdijk. After taking a diagnostic review of the phenomena that define the ‘present’, as well as the pragmatic of the unstable irony modern —cons- tant movement of constitutive and self-destruct’ as it appears designed from F. Schlegel—, shows how explain the attitude of paralysis and sterility cynical. In the fourth and last part —”Detours and branching”—, noting the overlap of the poetic and philosophical already in the archaic greece —sophós and sophistés and that can be absorbed by the figure of the educator—, interrogates the prolongation of the sophists in the contemporary cynicism. Articulating a series of readings in tension through a vigorous prose, Jorge Lorca presents an exploratory essay questions so acute that some of the issues addressed during the seminar (“The poem and the world toward a critique of linguistic imagi- nation.”, starting with the possibility to escape the paralysis ironic —melancholy— cynical once recognized the status of linguistic representation of reality. Especially evocative is the question about the possible continuity between this major problem of contemporary philosophical thought, detonated after historical relativization —critical transcendentalism and even earlier, in the transcendental turn displaces the thing itself— realism and philosophical reaction before the sophistry and old cynicism. Recognizing the relevance of the diagnosis is made in the essay, one might think that a possible future development of this research and presentation that wanted to propose a positive exit that does not constitute a simple return to dogmatic realism, a deepening win both critical-transcendental philosophy of Kant heritage as a question of the status of the language beyond the limits to which it confines the analytical perspective (and the liberal politics), which could no longer simply be determined as individual and subjective.
